Davao 2010 A Reflection

This is Davao...

Melting pot of the world.

The Worlds Biggest City in terms of land area...

The worlds biggest Eagle can also be found here...

There are only 2 spots where you can really find clean drinking waters...

1. Davos' Switzerland
2. Davao City, Philippines

notice the name?... Davos' means "Clean Water"...

When I asked people in the streets what is the meaning of Davao... nobody knows... then they start inventing meanings... typical.

This land is so fertile with natural resources... both Agricultural and Mineral...

Sadly, it is slowly exploited by multinational corporations... not local.

The general culture here is laid back, secured and peaceful.

The violence in the news is isolated and mainly in western Mindanao only... where Feudal Regionalistic Tribal Politics is rampant.

The native people of Davao is disciplined.... If there is one incident of injury reported during the Paganic New Year celebration... then he who suffered from a firecracker wound - will immediately go into Jail... no questions asked.

New Years Eve passed as if it was just a normal Holiday - the night was peaceful... quiet... with very small number of noise makers... only a few vehicles dragging some cans and pans of metal, the most noise were from horns only and or music from Karaoke or Stereo components.

The general atmosphere of people here are... confident, secured and relaxed...

Schetzophrenia is only common with cultures with rampant wrong doers... I don't find it here generally speaking.
